Job summary

GHD in Qatar is seeking an experienced Lead Planning Engineer to join a major Buildings and Infrastructure project. You will lead planning functions, develop and implement WBS, master schedules, manpower histograms, and cost loading, and oversee progress measurement and dashboards.

The role requires 8+ years in planning and project control, MMUP accreditation, Primavera P6 expertise, and strong knowledge of PMBOK. Excellent English communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• MMUP accreditation and minimum 8 years in the role of planning & project control.
• Strong Primavera knowledge with certification.
• Familiar with PMBOK Revision 5; knowledge of Revision 6 appreciated.
• A team player who is hungry to develop and achieve with a growing business.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Development & Implementation of efficient Planning Functions, such as Work Breakdown Structure, Master schedule review, Manpower Histograms & Cost loading, Progress Measurement System and coordination.
• Able to generate tabular and graphic reports for baseline targets and actual earned values and forecasting.
• Production of project status reports and management of project dashboards
• Liaise with Project Management to support teams and monitor performance to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
• Review of Time Extension Claims, Forensic analysis of schedules, Risk analysis and Continuous improvement strategies.
