Job summary

Doha petroleum construction company seeks a senior project scheduler/controls professional to lead schedule development for EPC/Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. You will manage WBS, CPM, resource loading and schedule optimization for engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning phases.

The role requires extensive experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project, plus EVM, cash flow forecasting, and S-curve analysis, with strong offshore operations knowledge and HSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• PMI-SP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and optimize integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning.
• Apply CPM, WBS and resource loading techniques to improve schedule performance.
• Conduct progress measurement, reporting, and schedule risk analysis for EPC/Oil & Gas projects.
• Implement and monitor earned value management, cash flow forecasting, and S-curve analysis.
• Apply offshore construction methodologies and plan for hook-up, commissioning and shutdown activities.
• Ensure alignment with HSE requirements, SIMOPS and permit-to-work systems.

Job description

Project Scheduling

• Reviews Project Scheduling, Progress Measurement and Reporting requirements for execution of the project
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Core Scheduling: Strong knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Critical Path Method (CPM), resource loading and schedule optimization

Project Controls

• Experience in project controls progress measurement systems, earned value management, cash flow forecasting and S-curve analysis

Schedule Management

• Ability to develop, monitor and control integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning activities

Offshore Operations

• Knowledge of offshore construction methodologies, marine operations, heavy lifting, hook‑up, commissioning and shutdown planning

Safety & Risk Systems

• Familiarity with offshore platform operations, SIMOPS, HSE requirements, permit‑to‑work systems and risk management

Work Environment

• Experience in offshore fabrication yards, installation campaigns and project execution environments

Preferred Advantage

• Understanding of QatarEnergy project requirements is an advantage

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (PMP, PMI-SP certification)

15+ years of experience in EPC/Oil & Gas projects including 3‑5 years in Offshore
