Job summary

KBR Sustainability Technology Solutions (STS) seeks a Lead HVAC Technician to lead installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems in industrial settings. You will supervise HVAC mechanics, interpret blueprints, and ensure safety, quality and cost objectives are met.

The role requires a diploma and 12+ years in the field, with strong leadership and hands-on expertise in refrigeration, piping, and ductwork, delivering reliable environmental-control solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with 12+ years' experience in HVAC field.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to develop processes for HVAC services and oversees execution, quality and cost.
• Directs the activities of HVAC mechanics.
• Installs, services and repairs environmental-control systems and related equipment per blueprints or specs.
• Mounts compressors and condensers, using hand tools according to specifications.
• Fabricates and installs ductwork and chassis parts with metalworking tools and welding equipment.
• Connects motors, controls and fans to panels and power sources.
• Installs and services air conditioners in warehouses and small factories.

These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to cause the creation of processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of HVAC mechanical services, quality, and cost.
• Directs the activities of HVAC mechanics.
• Installs, services, and repairs environmental-control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout.
• Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform or floor, uses hand tools, follows blueprints or engineering specifications.
• Fabricates, assembles and installs ductwork and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
• Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source.
• May install, repair and service air conditioners, ranging from fifteen to twenty tons cooling capacity in warehouses and small factory buildings.

Qualification

• Diploma holder with 12+ year's experience in same field.
