Job description

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer (Siemens) with expertise in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, as well as testing and commissioning across industries such as Water and Wastewater, HVAC, and Oil & Gas. The ideal candidate is self-reliant, capable of independently handling tasks, and committed to staying updated on emerging technologies. Strong technical proficiency and excellent customer service skills are essential for effectively managing departmental and divisional operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans to verify the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
• Develop SCADA/HMI graphics.
• Design and implement automation solutions tailored to client needs.
• Field Site Testing & Commissioning – participate in FAT & SAT of automation systems at client sites.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including functional design, scope/process clarifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure proper documentation and alignment with client expectations to optimize program development time.
• Utilize man hours effectively; ensure all hours are billable and maintain orderly program revisions.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for automation systems.
• Work on medium to high‑complexity tasks, document procedures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend actions.
• Collaborate closely with sales and project teams to understand client requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
• Maintain resilience and persistence in challenging assignments; demonstrate strong interpersonal, consulting, and technical presentation skills.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in MS Office, P&ID, C&E, FDS, project and maintenance manuals.
• Technical expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, Historian system, Network components (Switches, FOC).
• Strong software coding skills: Ladder logic, Functional block drawing, and Structured Text (VB scripting and SQL).
• In-depth knowledge of industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP.
• Experience with Data Logging on Historian server or SQL server, PLC redundancy configuration, SCADA server and client configuration, and report generation from Historian server.
• Experience in the Process Industry is a must (Water and Wastewater, HVAC, Oil & Gas).

Experience

• Minimum 5–6 years of hands‑on experience in Siemens systems (S7‑1200, S7‑1500, S7‑400H, Step 7, TIA, WinCC, etc.).
• Strong preference for candidates from the process industry.

Education & Certification

• Technical School Graduation / Diploma in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial automation, or related field).
