Our client, a leading construction and design company providing complete turnkey design and construction services throughout the GCC, is currently seeking an experienced Joinery Production Factory Manager to manage their new Joinery Factory established to meet their rapidly growing Qatar operations. This role will lead the planning, preparation and joinery production requirements for their prestigious projects in Qatar e.g. hotels, luxury palaces, commercial, high-end interior fit-outs, theme parks, master plan developments, etc.

Reporting to the Business Units Director, you will be responsible for:

• Manage the assigned workforce to meet the defined time schedules and quality.
• Performance management of team and identifying their training needs.
• Ensure and maintain full compliance to a specified contract and or scope of work.
• Monitor the manpower budget, planning of the allocated manpower loading, in accordance with the projects requirements.
• Work with the Project Manager in preparing and submit for consideration all material samples and specifications in accordance with the contract and company’s policies and procedures
• Monitoring the Project Scope, ensuring that any on-site variation requests are reported and managed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Oversee any on-site production and installation.
• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
• Implement and maintain an Occupational Health and Safety plan and quality management on site in line with ISO 9001:2008 objectives.
• Liaise with the Paint, Upholstery and Metal factory managers regarding the project.
• Liaise with the Design, Cutlist, Planning, Procurement and Commercial departments regarding the project.
• Liaise with Stores Manager and Logistics regarding stock and ensuring

The attributes we seek for this successful candidate include:

• Relevant Engineering Degree with minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in Joinery Production in Joinery/Furniture/Interiors manufacturing companies.
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of modern joinery manufacturing.
• Knowledge of all aspects of furniture construction, which includes but is not limited to; cabinets, furniture, wall paneling systems, doors, mouldings etc, pertaining to the high specification work for palaces, 5-star hotels, residential villas, malls, etc.
• Must be fully conversant with all types of manual wood working machinery and to be fully conversant with all types of wood working CNC machinery and their associated programs.
• Must have experience in Fire rated Door certifications through external agencies.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
• Strong organisation and problem solving skills.
