Job Purpose / Objective

Execute the inventory optimization strategy by designing and reviewing Min/Max parameters, managing review cycles, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure optimization initiatives are effectively implemented. This role focuses on minimizing operational risks, applying best practices in inventory control, managing physical inventory activities, and maintaining accurate master data. The position also involves collaborating with end users and procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize inventory, and prevent unnecessary purchases.

Key Accountabilities
  • People Management
    • Supervise assigned resources to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution of work in line with business plans and departmental policies.
    • Recommend training and development initiatives to enhance team and stakeholder capabilities.
  • Stocks / Inventory Management
    • Develop expertise in inventory management and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.
    • Execute physical inventory tasks and ensure availability of stock in compliance with policies.
    • Maintain and update material categorization, taxonomy, and master data guidelines.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in physical stock counts and update procedures as required.
    • Generate reports on warehouse KPIs, material usage, and performance to identify improvement actions.
    • Create and maintain written procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory control processes.
    • Manage systems for material creation, amendments, and deletions in compliance with procedures.
    • Support communication with affiliates for emergency material availability, shipment coordination, and approvals.
    • Provide guidance to end users on setting Min/Max parameters and conduct regular reviews.
    • Conduct inventory risk management by identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.
    • Analyze consumption trends, space constraints, and market dynamics to update Min/Max levels.
    • Assist in short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts with cross-functional teams.
  • Development
    • Actively seek and apply feedback for professional growth.
    • Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
    • Support knowledge retention by documenting and transferring best practices.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices based on international standards.
    • Provide input for the development and improvement of departmental procedures and systems.
    • Prepare documentation for MRB meetings as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct, regulations, and approval limits.
  • QHSSE
    • Ensure adherence to QHSSE standards to protect employees and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Reporting
    • Prepare accurate and timely reports for departmental use.
    • Run and submit stock reports (e.g., zero stock, no movement, stock variance) to relevant stakeholders.
  • Qatarization
    • Support the development of Qatari employees (applicable to expatriate staff only).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory optimization, stock control, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems, master data management, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
