Job description

Avanceon is seeking a proactive and technically strong Instrumentation Engineer to be based at the project site. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in design engineering as well as on-site coordination and execution experience. This role will primarily focus on client coordination for design closure and construction supervision ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and the design deliverables align with site realities and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary interface between site and client for all instrumentation-related design and technical matters.
  • Review design documents, drawings, and material submittals; coordinate with design teams to close open points and discrepancies.
  • Ensure design alignment with site conditions and provide timely feedback for design modifications or clarifications.
  • Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and client meetings to facilitate design closure.
  • Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to resolve field-related design issues.
  • Support preparation and review of instrument index, cable schedule, construction layouts, hookup drawings, wiring diagrams, method statements, MTO etc.
  • Assist procurement and material verification activities related to instrumentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical logs, minutes of meetings, and status reports for design and coordination activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in instrumentation design and site execution.
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation design documents and their practical implementation at site.
  • Experience in client coordination and handling technical queries at site.
  • Knowledge of international standards (ISA, IEC, etc.) and experience related to Ashghal Projects / Sewage Plant or industrial projects preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands‑on understanding of field instrumentation, junction boxes, cable routing, and control system interfaces.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience with Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Ashghal projects will be given preference.
