Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of housekeeping staff.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping employees to ensure high performance.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign duties to housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and used correctly.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linen; report shortages.
  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding of housekeeping staff when necessary.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality or management certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
