Job summary

A leading facility management company in Doha is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee custodial operations, ensuring a safe and attractive environment. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in airports or 5-star hotels, along with knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures. This position offers competitive remuneration and is located on-site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position or capacity from airport/5-star hotels/facility management company.
  • Experience in Business Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Housekeeping, Building Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of shift custodians.
  • Ensure an attractive and sanitary environment.
  • Monitor work of custodial staff for safety and cleanliness.
  • Handle materials distribution within site.
  • Address immediate safety or operational concerns.
  • Establish performance requirements and development targets for staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections to meet client specifications.

Skills

Floor maintenance
Understanding of cleaning machines and chemicals
Knowledge of color coding and PH values of chemicals
Expertise in cross-contamination procedures

Job description

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be overseeing the day to day operations of shift custodians and provide custodial services at assigned site ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for employees, staff and visitors performing a variety of special cleaning operations.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Cleans assigned facilities and / or grounds for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
  • Monitors custodial staff work for the purpose of ensuring that the site is suitable for safe operations, maintained in an attractive and clean condition, identifying necessary repairs to facilities and / or equipment, etc.
  • Monitors time records and absence records of custodial staff for the purpose of certifying the records for payroll.
  • Performs material handling tasks for the purpose of distributing materials to the appropriate parties within site.
  • Responds to immediate safety and / or operational concerns during scheduled work hours.
  • Plans and evaluates the performance of assigned staff; establishes performance requirements and personal development targets; regularly monitors performance and provides coaching for performance improvement and development goals.
  • Organize, set priorities and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that all assigned areas are always meeting the client specifications through regular inspections and should always pass any joint audit performed by the client.

Qualification :

  • Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management is an advantage.

Experience & Skills :

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position or capacity from airport / 5-star hotels / facility management company is mandatory.
  • Business Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Housekeeping, Building Maintenance.
  • Excellent knowledge about floor maintenance; cleaning machines and chemicals; color coding, PH values of the chemicals; cross-contamination, MSDS & COSHH.
