Job summary

Smart Water Treatment Technology Group in Qatar is seeking a skilled Mechanical Electrical Technician to join the Operations Maintenance team. The role centers on hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical water treatment systems in medical environments, with emphasis on reliability and hygiene standards.

You will service RO, STP, water softeners and UV disinfection facilities, respond to on-call emergencies, and ensure ultrapure water systems operate without disrupting

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade experience).
• Electrical: Read electrical drawings, troubleshoot control circuits, test relays, and work safely with 3-phase power, motors, and PLC panels.
• Mechanical: Plumbing, piping, and mechanical repair skills (shaft alignments, seal replacements, pump overhauls).

Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical components (pumps, valves, blowers, dosing systems, and control panels).
• System troubleshooting to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Execute CIP procedures for RO membranes, recharge backwash, water softeners, and replace UV lamps and quartz sleeves.
• Monitor and log hospital ultrapure water parameters ensuring compliance with health standards; coordinate with O&M Engineer for site issues.
