Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a seasoned professional to lead and support senior commissioning teams across complex oil & gas projects. You will align engineering, design, and start-up activities with approved standards and ensure readiness for asset handover to owners.

Strong leadership and communication are essential to drive safe, reliable operation. The role requires extensive experience in commissioning management, EPIC contracting, and international project delivery within the oil & gas sector.

Qualifications

• B. Sc. in an Engineering Discipline with at least 15 years in O&G operations, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Minimum 8 years in commissioning management positions; international exposure preferred.
• Experience with project, engineering and EPIC contracting environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide managerial support to commissioning engineers and technicians to ensure standardized project execution.
• Coordinate with project teams and Contractors to ensure safe, timely handover of assets to owners.
• Drive commissioning and start-up activities in line with procedures and Safety & Environmental standards.

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Responsible for leading and providing managerial support to Lead/Sr. Commissioning Engineers, OV Disciplines Engineers, Disciplines Technicians in coordination with Project Team and Contractors to ensure consistent and standardized execution of Project design, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities for Operational Area (VO) Projects in accordance with approved Procedures, Guidelines, Engineering Design, Safety & Environmental Standards/Specifications and Scope of Work. Responsible to ensure Operational Area Asset Owners are fully ready to assume ownership of the asset at the point of delivery/handover, and that they are able to operate and maintain that asset in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner.

Required Experience And Skills

• Exposure with Project, Engineering and EPIC contracting companies is an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Work experience in the Arabian Gulf Countries is desirable.
• Good IT and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure.

Educational Qualifications

B. Sc. in an Engineering Discipline, minimum 15 years’ experience in operations, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing and production facilities (Onshore/Offshore), preferably with International reputable Oil & Gas Operating Company with at least 8 years as commissioning management position.
