Job description

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for an established technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Information Security (Network Security) who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in developing and executing a comprehensive information security program with a specialized focus on safeguarding critical infrastructure and sensitive data during high-profile mega sports events and routine operations. This role is accountable for the end-to-end strategy architecture and operational integrity of the organizations network security ensuring robust protection across on-premises hybrid and cloud environments against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
Security Strategy & Governance
  • Define and drive the enterprise network security strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards (e.g. NIST ISO 27001 NCSA).
  • Champion the development and implementation of key security initiatives including network segmentation zero-trust architecture (ZTA) and secure access frameworks.
  • Own and govern security controls across all network domains including LAN / WAN VPN SD-WAN cloud connectivity and remote access.
  • Lead the preparation and evaluation of RFPs technical proposals and the IT security budget.
Architecture & Design
  • Lead the design implementation and enforcement of a secure network architecture across all layers (core distribution access and data center).
  • Validate and ensure the security integrity of new technology deployments (e.g. NGFW IPS DDoS Protection ZTNA WAF Proxy).
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies (e.g. SASE micro‑segmentation) to recommend and integrate security enhancements.
Operations & Risk Management
  • Oversee critical security operations including firewall management rule‑base reviews and the change control process.
  • Direct the monitoring of network‑based threats and ensure an effective rapid incident response.
  • Foster a collaborative layered defense by working closely with the SOC, IT Infrastructure and Application teams.
  • Provide deep domain expertise on key OEM platforms: Cisco NGFW, Palo Alto Firewalls, Fortinet Firewalls, F5 WAF & Load Balancers and Email Security Gateways.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead mentor and develop a high‑performing team of network security engineers and analysts.
  • Manage vendor relationships and MSSP contracts related to perimeter and network security technologies.
  • Represent the network security function in internal and external audits, risk review committees and executive‑level presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 15 years of progressive experience in network and security roles including 5‑7 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Bilingual proficiency with Arabic (Mandatory).
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • CISSP or equivalent industry certification.
  • OEM‑specific certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSE or Fortinet NSE.
  • Cloud security certifications (e.g. CCSP, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud security credentials).
