Job description
Job Purpose

Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Operations team to coordinate planning and execution of completion operations including periodic wellwork operations such as milling, cleanout or fishing operations in wells operated by the company meeting the Company’s target in an engineered and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest level of safety, environmental, quality and security compliance.

Key Job Accountabilities - I
  • Direct and supervise the completions operations activities across assigned rigs in addition to the land rigless completion activities to ensure safe and timely completion. Oversee the execution of rig upgrades required to allow dual batch PST operations, providing close supervision to mitigate the operation risks and capture lessons learnt.
  • Motivate and oversee the company's Incident and Injury Free (IIF) Safety Culture and demonstrate commitment to the company's safety programs and implement “checks” and feedback loops to ensure the section is compliant towards the company's standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure safety leadership and business judgement when planning, endorsing, monitoring, and supporting PST completions and wellwork activities.
  • Oversee all Re-Completions, lift barge and land rigless team in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure appropriate barrier philosophy on wells and be responsible for well control for the wells under interventions and maintenance while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards to minimize risks and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Review and endorse Standard WellWork Intervention Manual (SWIM) and ensure all completions programs and procedures are technically sound and in accordance with the company's and international standards.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
  • Oversee and control PST completions expenses, applying meticulous tracking and financial management to ensure adherence to the allocated budget, preventing cost overruns.
  • Motivate and direct continuous improvement initiatives through application of state-of-the-art technology and practices or through work process improvements to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient completions operations. Oversee and control technologically complex completions ensuring safety of all personnel exposed to hazardous toxic gas.
  • Ensure bi-annual surveillance meetings address the needs of both the Shareholders, Stakeholders and the Section and are conducted as per the company's policies.
  • Verify and assure the Well Control and Blowout Prevention plan is up-to-date and in line with international standards to ensure prevention and/or preparedness for response to any well incident.
  • Ensure seamless execution of jack up PST rigs and lift barge moves from location to location and collaborates with all stakeholders to facilitate safely relocating the vessel adjacent to each asset.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Well control certification (IADC); recertified every two years.
Knowledge and/or Experience
  • 12 years’ experience in relevant wellwork or intervention operations in the oil and gas industry, including 3 years’ supervisory experience with 5 years’ experience in rig-based wellwork.
  • Experience in executing wellwork/interventions with Jack Up Lift Barges and rig move procedures and criteria.
  • Knowledge and understanding of completions activities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the following well engineering disciplines: Wellhead, Tree & Surface Equipment, Subsurface Equipment, Cased hole and Production Logging, Well and tubular design, Rigless wellwork equipment including Pressure Control Equipment and Well Barrier requirements.
  • Understanding of Reservoir Surveillance, Pressure Transient Analysis, Production Modelling and Nodal Analysis, Cased Hole Logging interpretation, Drilling & Completion, Software applications related to cased hole subsurface data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of Well Integrity Management: Sustained Casing Pressure Management and Leak off Testing.
  • Experienced in tendering and contracting.
