Job summary

A leading multinational company is seeking a Lead EHS Specialist based in Qatar to oversee EHS operations in the Gulf Cluster. This position involves coordinating EHS activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading safety initiatives at project sites. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, along with professional EHS qualifications. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred. This full-time role may require travel to sites in Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years EHS experience in project/construction environment.
• Good knowledge of independent standards organizations, like ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Flexibility to travel 50 to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS Risk Portfolio Program.
• Conduct EHS Audits and develop EHS Plans and Procedures.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance with environmental regulations.

Skills

EHS experience in project/construction environment

Fluent English skills

Arabic skills (written and spoken)

Problem solving and root cause identification

Education

Bachelors degree from an accredited university

Professional EHS qualification (NEBOSH ICC or ICG)
