Qatar Charity invites applications for a Field Financial Manager to oversee financial operations across international field offices. The role emphasizes financial leadership, policy compliance, and strategic planning in humanitarian contexts.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, financial reporting, controls, and audits, while guiding teams in diverse regulatory environments and donor requirements worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.
  • Excellent English language skills; Arabic, French or any additional languages are an asset.
  • Experience in humanitarian, development, nonprofit, or international organizations is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, financial controls, and audit coordination.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial management software.
  • Experience managing multicultural teams and working in complex operational environments is an advantage.
  • Willingness to be assigned to any Qatar Charity field office worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets in alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans.
  • Monitor budget implementation and financial performance, providing periodic reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and compliance with approved financial policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, annual accounts, and year-end financial closures.
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations within the field office.
  • Analyze costs, expenditures, operational results, and financial performance against approved plans and budgets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for headquarters, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls and risk management mechanisms.
  • Ensure implementation of financial directives and procedures issued by headquarters.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Prepare audit files and support audit processes and financial reviews.
  • Oversee inventory management, cash operations, and asset registration.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage for office assets and properties where applicable.
  • Review financial obligations, project balances, guarantees, surpluses, and deficits, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff within the field office.
  • Participate in procurement and tender committees as required.
  • Support senior management with financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly qualified Field Financial Manager to join Qatar Charity's international operations. The successful candidate may be assigned to one of Qatar Charity's field offices worldwide and will play a key role in ensuring sound financial management, effective financial control, compliance, and strategic financial planning.


The Field Financial Manager is responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight, supporting decision-making through financial analysis, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and local regulations, and safeguarding the organization's financial resources, assets, and investments.


Key Responsibilities
