Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Qatar is seeking a Field Operator for Gas/DR Water Treatment Operation. You will operate and monitor water treatment plants, gas supply systems, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and related equipment.

You will perform inspections, report faults, and ensure safety permits while coordinating shift handovers and maintaining strict adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma required in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience in water treatment or related utilities.
• Knowledge of natural gas, oxygen, nitrogen, argon, compressed air, and cooling water systems.
• Understanding of water chemistry and process drawings (P&ID).
• Good English and basic computer skills.
• Strong teamwork and safety awareness; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment plants, gas supply systems, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and related equipment.
• Monitor and record equipment readings, utility consumption, water quality, and chemical dosing.
• Perform routine inspections, equipment changeovers, pipeline leak checks, and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Identify and report equipment faults and process abnormalities.
• Conduct shift handovers and ensure compliance with work permits and safety procedures.
