Job summary

SECC is seeking an FF&E Specialist Designer in Qatar to support design development, specification and coordination of furniture, fixtures and equipment for hospitality and interior projects. You will work with the Senior FF&E Designer and project team to ensure FF&E selections meet design intent, functional requirements, budget and programme.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• Experience in FF&E design for hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction and finishes.
• Ability to review drawings and BOQs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop FF&E concepts, furniture layouts, mood boards and presentations in line with the project brief.
• Select and specify furniture, decorative lighting, fabrics, rugs, artwork and accessories.
• Prepare and maintain detailed FF&E specifications, schedules and BOQs.
• Source suitable products, materials and finishes considering quality, durability, budget and lead times.
• Review supplier shop drawings, technical submissions and material samples against project requirements.
• Coordinate furniture dimensions with interior layouts, site conditions and related architectural and MEP requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, operators and suppliers to address comments and obtain approvals.
• Coordinate with manufacturers on custom furniture development, prototypes and production details.
• Support the procurement team by clarifying specifications and reviewing proposed alternatives.
• Follow up on production quality and participate in factory inspections when required.
• Support site inspections, installation coordination and snagging to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Maintain organized records of specifications, samples, approvals and revisions.
