A leading oil and gas company in Qatar seeks an Employee Relations Specialist to support the Head of Employee Relations. The role involves overseeing personnel administration, managing employee queries, and ensuring HR systems efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business or HR, significant experience in employee relations, and a strong understanding of Qatar Labour Law.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience, with 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.

Reports To: Head of HR Shared Services

Direct Reportees: Employee Relations Assistant

Job Summary and Purpose

Provide support to the Head of Employee Relations in operational and administrative tasks to resolve all matters related to Employee Relations in NAKILAT & Joint Venture companies. Assist in developing and implementing effective policies and procedures related to Employee Relations. Perform personnel administration activities, including preparing and processing personnel actions from engagement to end of service. Coordinate with IT for HR system development and utilization.

Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities:

  1. New Joiners Induction: Coordinate with recruitment to plan and arrange induction programs, and advise new employees on policies and procedures.
  2. Employees’ Contracts Administration: Manage employment contracts, monitor payroll, approve allowances and benefits, ensuring legal compliance.
  3. Customer Management: Address employee queries promptly, investigate disciplinary cases, and follow up on actions.
  4. Employee Relations: Execute administrative circulars and decisions, manage transactions related to loans, allowances, and reimbursements, verify payments, review insurance policies, coordinate with IT on HR systems, and process employee action letters.
  5. Records Management: Maintain employee data confidentiality and ensure HRMS data accuracy.
  6. HRIS Management: Assist in HRIS upgrades, oversee HR-ERP system implementation, and ensure system efficiency.
  7. End of Employment: Support employees during exit processes and ensure timely settlement of dues.

Additional Accountabilities:

  1. QHSE: Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies.
  2. Policies & Procedures: Assist in developing and communicating HR policies, ensure their proper implementation.
  3. Other Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
