Job summary

A leading energy company located in Qatar is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician with expertise in solar power plants above 100 MWp. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in numerical relay protection, transformer maintenance, and the operation and maintenance of MV/LV motors. Familiarity with switching operations on HV substations and knowledge of computer-based interfaces are essential. Qualifications

• Candidate shall have experience in Solar Power Plant above 100 MWp as Electrical Technician.
• Experience required in numerical relay protection and transformer maintenance.
• Experience in MV and HV cable jointing and repair is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance on HV Substations and switchboards up to 6.6kV.
• Manage operation and maintenance of MV/LV motors and UPS.
• Perform switching and operations on plant at 1500V DC, 11kV and 33 kV.

Job description

Electrical Technician - HV / MV AND LV

• Candidate shall have experience in SOLAR POWER PLANT above 100 MWp as Electrical Technician.
• Experience required in numerical relay protection, transformer maintenance, MV and HV cable jointing and repair, vacuum breaker maintenance, MV motor maintenance and operation and maintenance of MV/LV motor.
• Plant maintenance experience on HV Substations, switchboard s up to 6.6kV, motors, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), thyristor rectifier, and general plant electrical utilities are required.
• Experience that includes PLCs, HVAĆ, instrumentation and the use of computer-based man-machine interfaces is preferred.
• Switching and operating experience on plant at 1500V DC, 11kV and 33 kV is highly desirable, Computer literacy essential and familiarity with MS Office 2000 packages.
