Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the U.S. Embassy Compound Project in Doha, Qatar.

The position requires on-site involvement, review of electrical systems, and quality assurance to ensure contract compliance and timely completion. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's or higher in electrical engineering, at least seven years of on-site vertical construction experience, and eligibility for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering.
• Seven years of on-site vertical construction project experience are required.
• Overseas experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of International Codes is required.
• Experience with high and low voltage equipment, telephone, and fire alarm systems is desirable.
• Ability to read design/construction drawings and understand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspections and review project drawings and specifications for compliance.
• Support OBO/Doha to ensure contract completion per requirements.
• Verify contractor work aligns with design documents.
• Observe on-site construction and ensure proper installation of elements.
• Perform quality assurance, review submittals, and resolve conflicts.
• Monitor QA and safety programs; review schedule and prepare weekly progress reports.
• Prepare responses to RFIs related to engineering and participate in cost estimates for modifications.
