Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha seeks a Mechanical Helper to support technicians and fitters in an industrial Oil & Gas setting. The role involves assisting with installation, maintenance, dismantling and repair of equipment, lifting tools, and maintaining clean work areas.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of relevant experience, basic mechanical training, and a focus on safety and teamwork in harsh environments.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to identify common tools, fasteners, valves, pipes and components.
• Physically fit and able to lift materials and work in hot, dusty, elevated or confined spaces.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety, PPE, housekeeping and manual handling.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision of technicians or fitters.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical technicians and fitters with installation, maintenance, dismantling and repair work.
• Carry tools, materials, spare parts, and equipment to designated work areas.
• Support cleaning, lubrication and inspection of pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes and piping components.
• Assist with bolt tightening, gasket replacement, equipment alignment and basic fitting tasks.
• Prepare work areas and safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of tools and materials after tasks.
