Job summary

India Abroad in Doha, Qatar is seeking an African Contract Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. The role focuses on preparing financial records, supporting month-end close, and providing insights to management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience (Middle East preferred), and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Visa and airline ticket to Qatar are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Middle East region.
• Experience working on contracts preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software programs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Conduct monthly and yearly closing processes.
• Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues.
• Assist with budget planning and forecasting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
• Provide financial advice to management on business decisions.
