Job summary

India Abroad in Doha, Qatar is seeking an African Contract Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. The role focuses on preparing financial records, supporting month-end close, and providing insights to management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience (Middle East preferred), and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Visa and airline ticket to Qatar are provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Middle East region.
Experience working on contracts preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software programs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Conduct monthly and yearly closing processes.
Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues.
Assist with budget planning and forecasting.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Provide financial advice to management on business decisions.
