Job summary

India Abroad in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and produce monthly statements. The role demands strong analytical abilities and solid knowledge of accounting principles, with the office located in Doha.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience, plus proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks. English communications must be strong; Arabic is a plus. Foreign applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Expert knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel) as well as QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Prepare and file all necessary tax documents in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
Develop effective processes to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments.
Monitor budgeting activities to ensure adherence to approved budget guidelines.
Liaise with external auditors for annual audits as required.
