Job summary

Employment is seeking an App Dev Consultant to manage post-sales activities, design and implement on-premises or cloud migrations, and drive cloud modernization strategies for customers in Qatar. You will collaborate with customer teams to architect scalable solutions, perform POC/RFP activities, and lead technical sales initiatives.

The role requires 3–4 years of Google Cloud experience, strong knowledge of cloud architectures, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3–4 years of Google Cloud migration/pre-sales/post-sales experience with cloud/DB specialization.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and hands-on cloud migration.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer/Architect certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run, manage and drive POC and RFPs and close opportunities from a presales and implementation perspective.
• Help customers architect scalable, highly available application solutions on cloud platforms and services.
• Work as a technical consultant with customer business, development and infrastructure teams.
• Act as both infrastructure and application development specialist.
• Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated deployment.
• Participate in design, development, review and test efforts for App & Data Modernization.
• Ensure data storage and processes align with security policies and cloud security best practices.
• Provide deep software architecture knowledge for cloud architecture and design patterns.
• Identify, analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
• Collaborate to identify optimal cloud solutions and roadmaps to modernize apps moving to Azure.
• Use ARM, Azure Policy, Blueprints in deployment pipelines for new Azure solutions.
• Contribute to internal R&D and broader community.
• Adhere to security policies and ensure compliance.
• Lead technical sales calls.

Job Scope
The App Dev Consultant is accountable for managing the post-sales activities by proactively assessing solution specifications in light of changing customer requirements. S/He designs, plans and implements on-premises or cloud solutions for migration, analyzes current on-premises and provides solutions to customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Run, manage and drive proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP) and close opportunities from a presales and implementation perspective Help customers architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage Microsoft services Work as a technical consultant alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teams Work as both an infrastructure and application development specialist Implement Dev Ops practices such as infrastructure, continuous integration and automated deployment Participate in design, development, review and test efforts for App & Data Modernization Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with the company security policies and best practices in cloud security Provide deep software architecture knowledge with respect to cloud architecture and design patterns Identify, analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions Create and execute a roadmap to modernize applications and move them to Azure Use ARM, Azure Policy, Blueprints and other technologies as part of integrated deployment pipelines for new solutions in Azure Contribute to internal R&D projects and play an active role in the broader community Adhere to New Signature and Client Information Security policies and ensure compliance at all times Maintain and update technical qualifications to provide intensive technical consulting to prospective customers Lead technical sales calls
Position Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field Experience At least 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Google Cloud database migration and pre-sales / post-sales / Cloud / DB Specialist Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) along with hands‑on cloud migration exposure and relevant Google Cloud certifications. Certifications preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer / Architect
