Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to forecast the future demand for different products using analytical and evidence-based data. Analyse historical trends, research demand drivers, prepare strategic forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Continually refine and improve forecasting methodology and reports, incorporating business intelligence to anticipate future demands and assume responsibility for gathering and analysing data about new supplier and product options from multiple sources.

Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for providing analysis on setting up PAR (Periodic Automated Replenishment) levels, conversions/consumptions, and demand planning across for the assigned hospitals.
  • Support in developing demand planning cross-functionally with the clinical and supply chain leadership (Value Analysis, Warehousing, expediting and Procurement)
  • Conduct data analysis, run reports and generate actionable information to reduce inventories, increase operational efficiency across the HMC supply chain
  • Support in developing demand forecast in case of increase in hospital capacity
  • Lead the PAR Optimization and Demand Planning efforts across the hospital supply chain (Distribution and Point of Use) while working in a cross-functional environment
  • Establishes and maintains business and operational performance measure for inventory control as per the direction of Inventory Management AED
  • Execute and facilitate problem‑solving processes within the inventory control function for continuous improvement against the established performance measures using lean quality improvement techniques
  • Support with the development of detailed inventory control process flows, service level agreements, deliverables, and key performance indicators (measures to improve PAR and inventory level and demand forecasting)
  • Reduce supply and inventory costs by implementing performance improvement and lean management solutions
  • Analyse procurement, logistics, distribution, and inventory control gaps and recommend process improvements to reduce costs and improve service
  • Utilises inventory control leading guidelines and practices to ensure inventory data validity and integrity
  • Perform other duties as assigned
