Job summary

Black & Grey HR is assisting a Doha-based technology solutions provider to hire a Security Operations Officer – Data Security Specialist. The role focuses on safeguarding data across on-premises and cloud, implementing advanced data protection controls and governance frameworks while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include data protection engineering, cloud security in GCP/Azure, cryptography management, and privacy-by-design.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security with data protection focus.
• Arabic bilingual proficiency is mandatory.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms, especially GCP and Azure.
• Strong encryption knowledge and key management experience.
• Experience with secrets management tools (Vault, Key Vault, Secrets Manager).
• Multi-cloud data protection, masking, tokenization, and anonymization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data protection controls across enterprise and cloud environments.
• Deploy DLP, data masking, tokenization, and anonymization technologies.
• Embed security across data lifecycle with IT and business teams.
• Maintain data discovery, classification tools, and compliance reporting.
• Support incident response for data-related events and threats.
• Manage cloud-native data protection in GCP and Azure, including encryption at rest/in transit.
