Job summary

Confidential in Doha is seeking an experienced Data Lead to provide governance across data acquisition, ingestion, and management, driving scalable, business-oriented data solutions.

You will lead Data Architects, Engineers, and Scientists, shape privacy and security standards, and partner with multiple stakeholders to monetize data and inform strategic decisions.

This role requires strong leadership, end-to-end data platform knowledge, and a proven track record in large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Governance, Enterprise Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Advanced Analytics.
• Experience in ICT, digital platforms, smart-city initiatives, or other large-scale technology environments is an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead and provide clear direction to multidisciplinary data teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance, management, acquisition, and ingestion functions.
• Oversee collection, management, integration, and storage of data.
• Develop and implement data management and governance strategies.
• Establish data acquisition practices that ensure data is properly sanitized, processed, structured, and optimized for utilization.
• Ensure data integration, development, escalation, and resolution processes comply with privacy and security standards.
• Lead and coordinate Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists.
• Oversee data integration activities related to customer onboarding.
• Develop and manage data-sharing agreements with stakeholders.
• Drive data-related operational and strategic decisions across multiple stakeholders.
• Participate in data governance forums and committees.
• Continuously improve data architecture, management capabilities, and processes throughout the product and solution lifecycle.
• Promote the effective use of data to support business objectives and informed decision-making.

• Strong understanding of the strategic and business value of data management and data monetization
• Ability to assess data management capabilities from both technical and business perspectives
• Demonstrated leadership and execution experience in large-scale programs involving multiple stakeholders
• Strong expertise in Big Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms, preferably Azure
• Good understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts and applications
• Strong knowledge of Data Architecture and Data Governance, including Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, data security, and data integration
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills
