Data Analyst – Doha, Qatar

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying trends and patterns in large data sets, developing and testing models, and providing meaningful insights to inform decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and models to analyze large data sets.


• Create reports and visualizations to present data findings.


• Monitor data accuracy and integrity of data sources.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify areas of improvement.


• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in the existing process or systems used for data analysis.


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data analysis.


• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to data privacy and protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.


• At least 5 years of professional experience working as a data analyst or in a similar role.


• Advanced knowledge of database structure principles, database design techniques, algorithms, tools, software engineering techniques, analytics techniques, scripting languages (e.g., Python), statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS), etc..


• In-depth knowledge of SQL queries, database management systems (e.g., Oracle) and software development life cycles (SDLC).


• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify potential issues or areas for improvement.


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts in simple language.
