Job summary

Avanta Works in Doha, Qatar seeks a dependable cashier to join our front-end retail team. You will handle payments, greet customers, and maintain accurate records while staying focused during peak hours.

Strong numerical skills and a professional demeanor are essential for efficient transactions and customer support. Experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate POS systems accurately and efficiently.
Basic math skills to handle financial transactions accurately.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to remain professional when handling customer complaints or inquiries.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Previous experience working as a cashier is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Process all payments accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures
Balance cash drawers at the beginning of each shift
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
Greet customers entering the store
Answer customers’ questions about store services, products, prices, etc.
Resolve customer complaints or concerns courteously and professionally
Assist other staff members in restocking shelves, setting up displays, etc.
Monitor security cameras as needed to detect shoplifting or other suspicious activity
