Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Construction Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas company. The role involves supervising field E&I construction activities, enforcing QA/QC and safety standards, and coordinating with subcontractors to deliver turnkey projects. The candidate should have 12–15 years of E&I construction experience, including greenfield/brownfield sites, with emphasis on testing, commissioning, and HV systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
• 12–15 years of overall E&I construction experience in onshore oil & gas projects.
• Experience in greenfield/new build construction sites and brownfield/live processes.
• Permits to work, isolation & lock out/tag out of live services, tie-ins and testing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee E&I construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with project ITPs and QA/QC standards.
• Lead coordination with subcontractors, clients, and internal disciplines to meet schedule and safety targets.
• Coordinate testing, pre-commissioning, and interface with existing systems.
• Ensure safe execution of HV electrical works and integration with control/instrumentation systems.

Airswift is seeking for a Construction Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Qualification Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an internationally recognized University.
• Preferably having formal training in QA/QC functional aspects.
• Experience Candidate should have a minimum of 12 to 15 years overall E&I construction experience in onshore oil and gas project.
• In addition, the candidate shall have specific stated experiences in: Greenfield/new build construction sites.
• Brownfield/live process plants.
• Permits to work, incl Isolation & Lock Out/Tag Out of live services.
• Tie-in to live facilities, including testing and integration to existing systems.
• Construction of new sub-stations & control rooms, incl building E&I services.
• Stage Inspection and Testing of Construction activities as per approved ITPs.
• SAT Testing of electrical and/or Instrument/control systems.
• Cathodic Protection Installation (UG/AG Pipes, Tanks, etc.).
• Test and Precommissioning.
• Experience with High Voltage (HV) electrical systems is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years experience as an EPIC Contractor, including recent positions held to the level of Superintendent.
• An additional 5 years’ experience as a client or PMC superintendent / Snr Supervisor is preferred.
• Current experience in State of Qatar industrial cities and/or other GCC countries is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge Familiar with international Codes, Standards and regulations relevant to the job function (e.g. QCS, ACI, AISC, BS / EN / ISO / ASTM standards, Shell DEP etc.).
