Job summary

A leading engineering services company is looking for a Construction Lead on a contract basis in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Responsibilities include managing construction phases and overseeing contractors. Qualifications

  • 8 years’ experience in construction roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • 1 year of experience in a supervisory or acting role.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC/EPCI process, codes (ASME, API).

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of project execution including start up and handover.
  • Oversee technical issues and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and risk assessments.

Construction Lead – Contract Position

We have a current opportunity for a Construction Lead on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. For further information about this position please apply.

Position title: Construction Lead
Work hours per day: 5 days/week / 10 Hrs
Work Location: Qatar Onshore
Estimated Start Date: 1st week of February 2026
Contract Duration: 36 Months

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
  • 8 years’ experience in construction roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractors/ service/ vendor personnel.
  • Extensive experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experienced and competent in managing across all phases of project execution including start up and handover and managing technical issues.
  • Experience in berth design and Seabed dredging is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC/EPCI process, codes (ASME, API), and constructability reviews, Risk assessments and Job safety analysis.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling tools (Primavera/MS Project), cost tracking, and quality systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of industry codes, standards and practices for civil discipline.
