Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks a senior leader to oversee demolition, debris clearance and construction activities at Barzan, RLIC Site in Qatar. You will manage plans, procedures and progress reporting, ensuring safety and timely handover to Operations.

The role requires 12+ years on large oil & gas projects, experience with EPC execution, and ability to coordinate with contractors and operations to deliver value in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Verify contractor headcount and equipment on site during reimbursable phases.
• Lead in complex problem solving, root cause analysis and mitigation plans.
• Drive safe demolition and flawless construction transition to commissioning.

• Manage all demolition and construction activities pertaining to the assigned scope of works for the Restoration Projects from participation in detailed damage assessment, clearance of damage debris and demolition of structures and equipment requiring replacement through to construction activities at Barzan, RLIC Site to hand-over back to Operations in accordance with the handover sequence.

• Review and approve Demolition plans, Construction Execution and related procedures, specifications, deliverables and progress reporting prepared by the main Contractor.


• Due to the nature of the Restoration Project, develop processes that enable the Project to execute scopes of work in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments


• Promote collaboration and cooperation with Barzan Operations team to enable both Project and Operations to execute their respective works in close collaboration.


• Undertake complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance to the team and stakeholders by bring solutions and provide support but not generate \"micro-management\" or unnecessary works to the team and/or the main contractor.


• During the reimbursable phase of the works, implement and enforce verification measures of Contractor daily head count and equipment on site and in use.


• The key to getting value in a Reimbursable scope is to ensure Contractor is driven to achieve and is efficient with their headcount and equipment requirements.


• Identify problems quickly and determine root cause and develop plan to mitigate or resolve them.


• Bring technical and execution solutions that favour a safe demolition phase and flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning activities.


• Organize and drive efforts of the team and stakeholders to achieve Project objectives.


• Work effectively within established procedures and participates in all important meetings and workshops (e.g., weekly and monthly meetings, 3D Model reviews, Constructability, Traffic and Completion Reviews and Lessons learned).


• Guide construction efforts of ~3000 workers during demolition and construction activities at site works in an integrated but complex project environment in which the incumbent strives to achieve best in class Safety, Health, Environmental & Security performances by creating a culture that encourages everyone to perform their best every day on every task.

• Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering.


• 12 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years of management level experience in Construction related disciplines, engineering, or project management with overall responsibility for an EPC execution.


• Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.


• Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.


• Extensive knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.


• Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects,


• Proven track record of Project delivery in the industry and managing contractors and sub-contractors.


• Excellent track record in construction safety results.


• Proven experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management and associated databases.


• Requires to be inventive on construction execution and methods, bring experience from other large and complex projects, in particular LNG Plants.
