Job summary

International School of London Qatar is seeking a dynamic Communications & Digital Media professional to lead advancement messaging, expand the school’s online presence, and coordinate media activities across platforms. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Fostering the values, dispositions, behaviours, attitudes, and attributes of the ISL Qatar guiding statements and IB learner profile.
  • Maximising the school’s digital media presence, seeking opportunities to increase visibility, and ensuring the coherence of key messages.
  • Managing digital communication platforms and optimising their use, monitoring trends through online analytical tools, and reporting performance data.
  • Planning and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy in collaboration with the Head of Advancement, including monitoring platform use by school stakeholders.
  • Guiding staff on best practices for capturing content for social media and online channels.
  • Bringing academic programs, curriculum highlights, and student achievements to life through engaging visual storytelling and accurate representation across social media, the website, and school publications.
  • Maintaining the website using the customised CMS (Finalsite) to manage content, landing pages, forms, and news updates.
  • Setting campaign KPIs and conducting market research in coordination with the Head of Advancement.
  • Creating media strategies for integrated campaigns while maintaining brand visual identity across Canva graphics (socials, Graduation, celebrations), print publications (Annual Report, Strategic Plan, brochures), and campus screens.
  • Supporting stakeholders in meeting school brand representation standards and delivering communication training where appropriate.
  • Assisting internal stakeholders with campus event communications by defining media plans and monitoring implementation.
  • Identifying stakeholder communication needs and translating them into concrete projects or activities.
  • Contributing to the overarching brand content strategy and SEO performance optimization.
  • Leading event planning and implementation (Open Mornings, Orientation Day, Family Fair, ...) while providing media coverage (photos/videos for concerts, drama, COLs).
  • Taking, curating, and organising photos and videos into a clean, accessible annual SharePoint Space while ensuring all digital content complies with school safeguarding procedures, photography/video consent, data protection and student privacy requirements.
  • Building and managing relationships with sponsors, partners, and third parties, including oversight of partnerships.
  • Supporting and engaging with the alumni community by developing dedicated content, publishing Alumni Newsletters, and coordinating engagement activities and events.
  • Coordinating and supporting PSA communications, engagement initiatives, Coffee Mornings, elections, and related community activities in partnership with PSA leadership and school administration.
  • Managing the complete Pret-a-Portrait Whole School Photoshoot process from setup through post-production to final image delivery.
  • Handling media relations and newspaper print ad placements when required.
