Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha is seeking a full-time Civil Engineering professional to inspect, assess, and maintain civil structures, read and interpret drawings, and support site-level cost estimates.

You will conduct quality control and field testing of concrete, asphalt, soils, aggregates, and structural materials to ASTM standards, develop preventive maintenance plans, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years' civil construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, site layouts, quantities, cost estimation, and maintenance planning.
• Hands-on experience in testing concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, and structural materials per ASTM.
• Ability to prepare reports, specifications, and maintenance recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; safe in industrial environments.

• Inspect, assess, and maintain civil structures by identifying defects, performing structural evaluations, and recommending or carrying out appropriate repairs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, prepare site layouts, specifications, cost estimates, and support civil engineering projects.
• Conduct quality control and field testing of concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and structural materials in accordance with ASTM standards.
• Perform material quantity calculations, bearing capacity tests, concrete strength testing, and sampling to ensure compliance with project and quality requirements.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans, document inspection findings, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of civil infrastructure.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in civil construction, maintenance, or infrastructure projects within power plants, utilities, oil & gas, industrial, or heavy construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, site layouts, quantity calculations, cost estimation, and civil maintenance planning.
• Hands-on experience in concrete, soil, aggregate, asphalt testing, structural inspections, defect assessment, and ASTM quality control standards.
• Proficient in conducting field testing, structural assessments, material sampling, and preparing engineering reports, specifications, and maintenance recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work safely and effectively in industrial environments.
