About the Role

We are hiring two skilled Carvers to join our production team in Doha, Qatar. These roles are ideal for artisans with experience in wood or stone carving, particularly in furniture detailing, wall panels, moldings, and other decorative elements. You will be responsible for creating custom hand-carved pieces according to project specifications and design intent.

Key Responsibilities

Execute hand carving on wood, MDF, or other materials based on detailed designs and drawings.

Create ornamental and decorative features for furniture, wall panels, doors, columns, and ceilings.

Work from technical drawings, samples, or verbal instructions to replicate classic or contemporary designs.

Ensure precision, symmetry, and surface finish in all carved elements.

Collaborate with designers, finishing carpenters, and production supervisors to align carvings with project timelines and quality standards.

Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, filling, and prepping carvings for staining, painting, or gold leaf.

Maintain carving tools and workspace in good condition and follow safety protocols.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on carving experience, preferably in high-end furniture, interior fit-out, or decorative arts.

Strong ability to interpret and work from design sketches or CAD drawings.

Mastery in using hand tools, chisels, gouges, and carving knives.

High level of manual dexterity, creativity, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and produce consistent, high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in traditional or ornamental wood carving.

Experience with classical, Islamic, or modern design motifs is a plus.

Previous work experience in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
