Responsibilities

• Design, construct and repair wooden structures, furniture and fixtures such as doors, windows, staircases and floors.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil or chalk.
• Cut lumber to size with saws or other powered equipment.
• Install finished products using glue, screws or nails.
• Ensure all carpentry projects are constructed to specified plans and standards.
• Inspect completed carpentry projects for defects or flaws in construction.
• Perform repairs on existing carpentry structures when needed.
• Assist with other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
