We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead strategic growth initiatives across the defense and Security sectors. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry expertise, exceptional market insight, and a strong network within the MENA region.
This role will drive business expansion by identifying strategic partnerships, suppliers, and investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Market Development: Direct all business development activities, continuously monitor defense market requirements and identify optimal solutions through global suppliers and investment partners.
- Focus on MENA Market: Expand and strengthen the company’s presence regionally and internationally.
- Communication & Relationship Building: Establish and oversee execution of a strategic communication plan that promotes the company’s value proposition to customers, government agencies, and international defense entities.
- Build & Maintain Relationships: Cultivate long‑term relationships with global defense contractors, security institutions, and industry leaders to drive business growth and strategic collaboration.
- Client & Market Intelligence: Continuously assess current and emerging requirements of government, defense, and state security clients; source innovative offerings from the company’s existing investment portfolio or new partnerships in the global defense sector.
- Trend Analysis: Maintain an in‑depth understanding of global defense trends, key players, market drivers, and technological advancements to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Background: Business Development in the defense industry
- Years of Experience: 10–15 years in the same or related field
- Proven Success: Developing and executing business strategies within defense and security domains, preferably in the MENA region
- Partnership Track Record: Partnering with government agencies, defense Manufacturers, and technology firms
- Key Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Defense Studies, or related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage
