Job summary

Facilities Management and Maintenance is seeking a Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, assist the team, and support improvement efforts in the department. You will report faults to the Engineer, TO, STO and follow HSEQ procedures according to client requirements.

The role requires ITI certificate/diploma or equivalent, knowledge of regulations, and the ability to work within tight deadlines. You will also assist subcontractors and maintain equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• ITI certificate/diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, BS) is desirable.
• Able to work under tight deadlines and within constraints.

Responsibilities

• Do preventive and corrective maintenance as assigned, and report faults to the Engineer, TO, STO.
• Assist the team and subcontractors to perform their tasks efficiently.
• Follow the duty roster and ensure high quality of work.
• Report defects, issues, breakdowns, or damages to the Fault Reporting Center or Engineer.
• Follow health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) procedures and client rules.
• Take care of tools and equipment and escalate shortages to line manager.

Main Purpose

The main role of the Technician is to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, to assist his team, and to support the improvement efforts in the department in order to increase the performance. Furthermore, to report any fault on the equipment to the Engineer, TO, STO.

Accountabilities

• Do the PPM assigned correctly and on time.
• Perform corrective tasks and complete them on time.
• Ensure high quality of their work.
• Assist subcontractors to perform the work assigned to them.
• Report defects, issues, breakdowns, damages, etc., to the Fault Reporting Center or Engineer, TO, STO.
• Follow the duty roster.
• Report any spare part requirements and availability.
• Follow all instructions as given by the TO,STO, Engineers.
• Take care of the tools, test tools and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Operational

• Comply with the Company standards specifically related to personal hygiene, dress code and behaviour.
• Comply with health procedures, quality and in general all the relatives of HSEQ.
• Follow the rules and regulations from the client and from FMM’s HSEQ Management System, which includes attending all training sessions you are invited to and by reading the documents provided to them.
• Escalate to their line manager any lack of proper equipment or tools for doing the work.
• Report any accident, incident, near miss or health event at work to their line manager.
