Job summary

Georgetown University in Doha is seeking an Arabic/French Language Support Specialist to blend tutoring with program coordination. The role is part-time (29 hours/week) and based in Doha, working within the Office of Academic Services to support language learning and teaching.

You will mentor Arabic and French peer tutors, design workshops, deliver one-on-one sessions, and assist in planning language programs and events. Local candidates with sponsorship to work in Qatar are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in Arabic Language and Literature, Arabic Applied Linguistics, French, TESOL, Education, or related field.
• 2+ years of university-level Arabic or language/writing center experience.
• Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Assist Arabic and French language development and tutoring.
• Hold standard office hours for one-on-one sessions.
• Deliver training and provide feedback to peer tutors.
• Support program-related activities and admin tasks for OAS.
