Job description

We are seeking a passionate bartender to join The Ritz‑Carlton, Doha, where you will deliver exceptional service in a luxury environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
• Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles.
• Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Transport supplies to the bar set‑up area.
• Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables, placing them in designated areas.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
• Process all payment methods, count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Complete closing duties.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance; protect confidential information and company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address service needs; use clear, professional language.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, reaching, twisting, stooping, and moving in confined spaces.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
