Job Description:

Hamad International Airport (HIA), the gateway to Qatar and one of the most advanced airports in the world, is currently seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our Ground Operations team as Baggage Handlers. This is a crucial role that ensures the timely and secure transfer of luggage and cargo, contributing to HIA’s commitment to world-class passenger experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading passenger baggage and cargo from aircraft and transport vehicles.
• Safely transporting luggage between the terminal and aircraft.
• Operating ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and dollies.
• Ensuring baggage is handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Reporting any irregularities or damaged luggage.
• Following all safety protocols and airport operational procedures.
• Assisting in baggage sorting and delivery to correct carousels or connecting flights.
• Supporting ramp operations during aircraft arrival and departure.

Education and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Basic English communication skills (reading and speaking).
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads.
• Previous experience in baggage handling or ground services is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
