Qualifications

  • License: EASA / GCAA / QCAA Part-66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 710 years of hands-on experience in aircraft heavy maintenance.
  • Aircraft Type Rating: Preference for Airbus, Boeing, or equivalent narrow-body/wide-body aircraft.
  • Strong understanding of AMM, SRM, IPC, and other aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Proficiency in using aircraft maintenance software (AMOS, TRAX, or equivalent).
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance on aircraft in accordance with OEM and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and rectification of aircraft mechanical systems and structures.
  • Certify and release maintenance tasks within the scope of authorization and license privileges.
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation and technical logs are accurately completed.
  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure timely aircraft turnaround.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
  • Participate in aircraft modifications, component replacements, and structural repairs.
  • Report defects, discrepancies, and maintenance delays to supervisors promptly.

Role Overview

The B1 Mechanic Heavy Maintenance is responsible for performing and certifying maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on aircraft during heavy checks in compliance with approved maintenance data, safety regulations, and company standards. The role requires in-depth technical knowledge of aircraft systems, attention to detail, and adherence to aviation authority guidelines to ensure airworthiness and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance on aircraft in accordance with OEM and regulatory requirements.

Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and rectification of aircraft mechanical systems and structures.
