Job summary

Applab is seeking an experienced Cloud & DevOps Lead in Qatar with 8–10 years of professional experience to guide cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and engineering teams on enterprise-scale Azure environments.

Role emphasizes secure, scalable Azure solutions, Kubernetes management, and Infrastructure as Code, driving modernization and transformation initiatives with a focus on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience implementing and improving DevOps practices.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Experience with cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture and DevOps initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Design secure, scalable, and high-performance Azure cloud solutions.
• Establish and improve modern DevOps practices and processes.
• Lead and mentor high-performing Cloud and DevOps engineering teams.
• Implement and manage Kubernetes-based environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Drive cloud automation and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Establish appropriate cloud architecture and DevOps standards.
• Support enterprise cloud transformation programs.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on cloud architecture and transformation initiatives.
