Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in risk management, aviation finance, aviation leasing, investment management or related financial services.
• Experience in aviation risk assessment, credit and counterparty analysis, portfolio monitoring, and risk reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Aviation Management, or related field; CFA/FRM qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of aviation finance, risk assessment, credit analysis, aircraft leasing, financial analysis, and portfolio risk management with analytical, communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor risks associated with aviation investments, aircraft assets, leasing activities, and counterparties.
• Conduct independent risk assessments of proposed aviation transactions and provide recommendations to support informed investment decisions.
• Assess credit and counterparty risk, including the financial strength, creditworthiness, and performance of airlines, lessees, operators, and other relevant counterparties.
• Monitor aircraft asset and residual value risk, including market conditions, aircraft age, type, utilization, and potential changes in asset values.
• Evaluate country, market, liquidity, and concentration risks associated with the aviation portfolio and highlight emerging areas of concern.
• Review lease structures, transaction terms, contractual arrangements, collateral, guarantees, and other risk mitigants to ensure appropriate risk protection.
• Monitor the aviation portfolio against approved risk appetite, limits, policies, and investment guidelines, escalating breaches or material concerns promptly.
• Develop and maintain risk reports, dashboards, and analysis for senior management, investment committees, and relevant governance forums.
• Identify emerging risks within the aviation sector, including regulatory, geopolitical, economic, operational, and industry-specific developments, and assess their potential impact on the portfolio.
• Ensure effective risk governance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks, while supporting continuous improvement
