Job summary

A leading energy firm in Qatar is seeking a professional to ensure compliance with mechanical asset integrity at Petrol Stations. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, alongside strong communication skills in English and Arabic. The ideal candidate should hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and be familiar with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience on mechanical static/rotating equipment in oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

Job description
Primary Purpose of the Job

Provide assurance that the mechanical asset integrity requirements related to design, construction, maintenance and operation of Petrol Stations, operating under the licensing requirements, are implemented and complied with by Petrol Stations. Develop a mechanism for mechanical asset integrity safety inspection and programs to assure compliance with the Petrol Station Executive Committee (PSEC) HSE requirements.

Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of experience on the mechanical static/rotating equipment in oil & gas industry, chemical/petrochemical industry, their inspection and integrity.
  • Effective communicator, fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of Arabic (written and spoken) essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of design codes and standards of underground storage tanks, valves, piping and fittings, pumps, corrosion protection system, in addition to their installation and in-service inspection methodologies and techniques.
  • Familiar with all the relevant health and safety regulations, have understanding of electrical & instrumentation safety systems, their integrity and zoning requirements, process safety, occupational safety and health matters.
