Job summary

Qatar Airways in Doha is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic for the Safety & Bottle Shop (Cabin Workshop) to join our Cabin Workshops Team. You will perform tasks according to approved data, QR standards and procedures, ensuring safety and quality in line with PART-145 requirements.

The role requires hands-on experience with safety systems, bottle equipment, and life vest handling, and the ability to work with limited supervision to meet production targets while maintaining the highest safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of job-related experience with a high school/vocational diploma, OR 2 years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Safety - Skilled staff with 2–3 years’ hands-on experience on slide/raft, life vest and survival kits.
• Safety - Slide/raft assembly and Life vest training
• Bottle - 2–3 years’ hands-on experience on slide/raft reservoir assemblies and fire extinguishers
• Bottle - Reservoir assembly training
• Bottle - Hazmat Training

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks to meet time frame objectives and provide satisfactory service to customers.
• Operate equipment or tooling to meet production targets.
• Work predominantly without supervision and comply with health and safety policy.
• Meet defined productivity standards and ensure timely component rectifications per QCAA/EASA PART-145.
• Lead by example to motivate the team and communicate health and safety issues.
