Position Overview

Aircraft Mechanic - Non-Destructive Testing role in Doha, Qatar with Qatar Airways supports aircraft maintenance operations by performing certified NDT inspections and component rectification in accordance with approved technical data, regulatory requirements, and workshop safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform non-destructive testing tasks in line with approved technical data and QR procedures
  • Complete assigned inspections and rectifications within defined timelines and productivity targets
  • Operate NDT equipment and tooling safely and effectively to support workshop objectives
  • Interpret technical information to maintain continuous and compliant operations
  • Ensure aircraft components meet QCAA and EASA Part-145 requirements
  • Work independently under normal conditions while maintaining high technical accuracy
  • Comply fully with company health, safety, and quality policies
  • Support timely completion of workshop tasks to meet operational demands
  • Lead by example to promote safety awareness and technical best practices within the team
  • Communicate health and safety issues to team members as required
  • Carry out additional workshop duties as directed by department management
Ideal Profile
  • High school, vocational qualification, or diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Degree, diploma, or license in aircraft maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years of certifying experience in a relevant technical field
  • Basic ICAO Type II license
  • Recognized aeronautical or technical training certificates
  • At least one year of practical experience in a similar NDT workshop environment
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance standards and safety practices
  • Ability to work under time constraints with consistent technical quality
