Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic for the IFE Base (Heavy /Light) in Doha. You will perform maintenance in accordance with approved data, standards and safety, completing tasks within procedural timeframes with high technical competency.

Role requires 3+ years of related experience, knowledge of heavy cabin and IFE maintenance, and strong English communication in a multicultural environment. You will inspect, repair and modify aircraft structures and systems as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 3 years of job-related experience
• Practical experience in the technical field within a similar work area
• Knowledge of Heavy Cabin & IFE maintenance fundamentals and relative skills to his area of employment
• Ability to perform maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
• Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools
• Controlling operations of equipment or systems
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required
• Ability to communicate in a multicultural environment
• Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Deliver Aircraft Maintenance services to support the operational requirements as directed by their supervisor
• Conduct tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Examine engines or other components for cracks, breaks or leaks
• Repair, replace and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components and parts
• Modify aircraft structures, systems or components following drawings and publications
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair methods
