Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic in Doha, Qatar to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on QE and third‑party aircraft in accordance with QCAA regulations. You will work under the supervision of the Lead Engineer to ensure maximum safety and reliability.

You will inspect and test aircraft systems, adjust and calibrate power plant components, and support on-time departures. A Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in line and base maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
• Experience in Line and Base Maintenance activities.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks per technical documentation.
• Plan tasks ensuring required materials and tooling are on-hand.
• Perform inspections and tests of aircraft systems, structure and power plants.
• Communicate status and issues to Lead Engineer and provide feedback.
• Adjust, align and calibrate aircraft systems using tools and test equipment.
• Conduct operational tests and rigging of Power Plant systems and APUs.
• Inspect power plants, APUs and components for wear or damage.
• Modify structures or systems per Engineering Orders and drawings.
• Assist in the departure and arrival of QE and third-party aircraft.

Job description

We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic, to be based in Doha, Qatar.The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for the timely performance of all assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with the QCAA Regulations, QR Standards and procedure to the highest standards of practice to ensure safety of flight for all Qatar Executive (QE) and third-party aircraft. In this role, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on QE Aircraft and third party to the highest maintenance standards and safety in a cost-effective manner.As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Perform assigned maintenance tasks in strict accordance with the technical documentation provided.
• Plan and carry out assigned tasks in an effective manner by ensuring all required assistance, materials and tooling are on-hand to complete the task within the agreed timeframe.
• Perform inspections/tests of a/c systems, structure and power plants as per technical documentation.
• Clearly communicate with the Lead Engineer status of work performed, any issues arising and provide constructive feedback/recommendations regarding any maintenance difficulties and troubleshooting.
• Adjust, align and calibrate a/c systems using hand tools, gauges, instruments and test equipment.
• Perform operational/functional tests, as well as rigging and adjustment of Power Plant systems, APU's, systems and components using test equipment to determine serviceability and diagnose malfunctions.
• Inspect power plants, APU's and other components for cracks, wear, damage, leaks or incorrect function.
• Modify a/c structures, systems or components in accordance with Engineering Orders, Drawings and/or Technical Publications.
• Assists in the departure and arrival of QE and third-party aircraft.
