Job summary

HumanEdge Technologies is seeking a senior curriculum designer to own an integrated K-12 program, coordinating across grades and content domains. You will decide between licensed materials and internally authored content, and guide writers to meet strict standards.

You will manage progression from Grades 9-12 initially, expanding to the full K-12 range, ensuring alignment with recognized international standards and auditable quality for submission to education authorities.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in school curriculum design, with at least five years in computing, computer science or AI education as taught subject matter
• Hands-on experience designing or teaching AI or machine-learning content
• Familiarity with AI4K12 or UNESCO's AI competency frameworks
• Authored or led a curriculum adopted by a national, state or multi-district system, surviving its approval process
• Experience mapping curriculum against published competency standards
• Designed upper-secondary pathways progressing towards recognised qualification or certification
• Experience deciding between licensed and originally authored material with real consequences
• Master's degree or higher in curriculum, computer science education, learning sciences or a related field
• Doctorate degree is an advantage
• Experience with bilingual or multilingual curricula is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated curriculum as a single coherent program rather than a set of assembled parts
• Make source decisions on licensing vs authoring
• Manage progression and coherence from Grades 9-12 initially and then across full K-12 range
• Ensure alignment to recognised international standards demonstrated to an auditable level
• Submit the curriculum to education authorities and manage the review cycles that follow
• Set authoring standards and direct the writers and specialists who work to those standards

Education

Master's degree or higher in curriculum, computer science education, learning sciences or related field

Hands-on experience designing AI or ML content

Familiarity with AI4K12 or UNESCO AI frameworks

Experience mapping curriculum to competency standards

Experience designing upper-secondary pathways towards qualifications

Experience choosing between licensed vs original material

Doctorate degree (advantage)

Experience with bilingual/multilingual curricula (advantage)
